Crystal Magic The natural crystal structure of copper and silver does not exhibit the characteristics of optimum conductivity. It produces small distortions when current flows through it. The crystal-group boundary affects the signal which generates these distortions. These crystal-groups can be seen as ball-shaped clusters of crystals. There is space between the connected 'balls'. At the surface it can be seen as micro cracks. Siltech has developed a proprietary technique that greatly reduces these crystal boundaries. After purifying the silver, 24K gold is added to fill the empty spaces between the crystals and thus improving the mechanical and electrical signal transmission properties. As a token of respect to the people who bring up the ore for our special metallurgy all Signature cable names are inspired by names of real gold mines in the world.
