Classic Legend MkII 680 Phono Cable

The Classic Legend MkII 680 Phono Cable is designed for the exceptionally delicate connection between turntable and phono stage, combining Siltech’s proprietary G9 silver-gold conductor technology with a more advanced cable architecture.

Its two-core design combines pure G9 silver-gold conductors with dedicated construction, insulation and shielding technologies developed to protect low-level phono signals from unwanted electrical influence. Siltech Resonance Damping further contributes to the carefully controlled environment surrounding the signal path.

Positioned above the 380 Phono, the 680 Phono provides a more advanced Classic Legend MkII solution for high-performance analogue vinyl playback systems.

The Classic Legend MkII 680 Phono Cable is engineered specifically for one of the most sensitive signal paths in a high-performance audio system: the connection between a turntable and phono stage.

The extremely low-level electrical signal generated by a phono cartridge places particular demands on conductor quality, cable geometry, insulation and protection from external electrical influence. The 680 Phono addresses these requirements through a dedicated two-core architecture built around Siltech’s proprietary pure silver-gold alloy G9.

Siltech’s G9 metallurgy combines silver with gold to address microscopic imperfections within the conductor material. This proprietary conductor technology forms the foundation of the Classic Legend MkII range and is designed to preserve the integrity of the musical signal throughout the cable.

The 680 Phono combines its G9 conductors with Twisted Coax and Siltech Special Multicell construction. Kapton, PEEK and Teflon are incorporated into the insulation architecture, while Siltech Resonance Damping further controls the environment surrounding the conductors.

Because phono signals are particularly susceptible to unwanted electrical influence, effective shielding is an essential part of the cable architecture. SPC Shielding provides additional protection around the signal path, supporting the low-noise performance required for high-quality analogue playback.

Positioned above the 380 Phono within the Classic Legend MkII range, the 680 Phono introduces a more sophisticated combination of construction, insulation and resonance control while retaining Siltech’s G9 silver-gold conductor technology.

Designed for high-performance turntable and phono-stage connections, the Classic Legend MkII 680 Phono Cable provides a carefully controlled path for preserving the fine musical information retrieved from the record.
