In autumn 2026, Siltech joined music lovers, musicians and high-end audio enthusiasts in Shanghai for ECHOES – Traces II: Echoes in the Concert Halls, a special event exploring the relationship between live musical performance and high-fidelity sound reproduction.
Organised through a collaboration between Siltech Group and Gizmod Audio, the event brought together advanced audio technologies, live performances and a shared appreciation for music. Alongside Siltech, fellow Siltech Group brands Crystal Cable and Sphinx Audio Engineering were also represented.
Rather than focusing exclusively on equipment, ECHOES placed music at the centre of the experience. Through live performances, high-end audio demonstrations and conversations with the people behind the technology, the event offered an opportunity to explore what it means to reproduce a musical performance with authenticity and precision.
High-end audio in a concert hall setting
The concert hall in Shanghai provided a distinctive setting for ECHOES 2026. An extensive high-end audio system occupied the stage, featuring large loudspeakers, carefully arranged electronics and an analogue turntable, with Siltech cables connecting the different components throughout the setup.
For Siltech, the presentation reflected an important principle behind our approach to audio engineering: every connection within a system plays a role in preserving the integrity of the musical signal.
Since our foundation in 1983, we have dedicated ourselves to understanding how conductor materials, cable geometry, insulation and shielding influence signal transmission. Our research and development are guided by the objective of minimising unwanted electrical effects, allowing the information contained within a recording to be reproduced as faithfully as possible.
At ECHOES, visitors could observe Siltech cabling integrated into a complete high-end audio system, from the connections between source components and amplification to those serving the loudspeakers. The presentation also offered a closer look at the physical construction of our cables, connectors and terminations.
Bringing these technologies into a concert hall environment created a natural connection between the engineering behind an audio system and the music it is designed to reproduce.
From live performance to recorded music
One of the defining elements of ECHOES 2026 was the presence of live music throughout the event.
A series of performances introduced guests to different instruments, voices and musical expressions. A pianist performed on a Steinway & Sons grand piano, while a flautist accompanied by piano brought another dimension to the programme. An acoustic guitarist and several vocal performers further contributed to the musical atmosphere.
These performances offered more than entertainment. They provided a direct experience of the qualities that make live music so compelling: the natural character of instruments, the dynamics of a performance, the interaction between musicians and the subtle details that give each interpretation its individual expression.
For us, this connection lies at the heart of high-fidelity audio reproduction.
A recording captures far more than individual notes. It contains information about timing, tonal character, spatial relationships and the nuances of a musician’s performance. Preserving these elements as the signal travels through an audio system is fundamental to our philosophy.
By bringing live musicians and high-end audio technology into the same environment, ECHOES highlighted the relationship between the original performance and its reproduction through a carefully engineered playback system.
The result was an event where music and technology could be appreciated together, with each providing a deeper understanding of the other.
Siltech Group and Gizmod Audio: A shared appreciation for music
ECHOES 2026 also brought together the expertise and perspectives of Siltech Group and Gizmod Audio.
Through our collaboration with Gizmod Audio, the event created a setting in which high-end audio engineering, system presentation and musical performance could come together.
In addition to Siltech, the involvement of Crystal Cable and Sphinx Audio Engineering reflected the broader expertise within Siltech Group.
Each brand approaches high-end audio from its own perspective. Siltech focuses on advanced cable engineering and signal integrity, Crystal Cable combines precision technologies with an elegant approach to audio cable design, while Sphinx Audio Engineering extends our shared engineering heritage into high-performance loudspeaker systems.
Although their individual philosophies and technologies differ, all three brands share a common objective: bringing listeners closer to the musical performance.
Events such as ECHOES provide an opportunity to bring these perspectives together and engage with music lovers who value both the technical and emotional aspects of high-end audio.
Connecting with the audio community in China
We were particularly pleased that Edwin Rynveld, Founder and CEO of Siltech, was personally present at ECHOES 2026 in Shanghai, together with the team from our Chinese distribution partner Richcoln.
Their presence reflected our continued commitment to the Chinese high-end audio market and the importance we place on maintaining close relationships with our partners, customers and the wider audio community.
Throughout the event, guests had opportunities to engage in presentations and conversations, exchange perspectives on audio technology and share their enthusiasm for music.
For Siltech, these personal interactions are an important part of our international presence. They allow us to connect directly with the people who experience our products, discuss the thinking behind our engineering and gain a better understanding of how listeners approach high-end audio in different markets.
Our collaboration with Richcoln continues to play an important role in bringing Siltech products and technologies to audio enthusiasts in China. Having the Richcoln team alongside Edwin at ECHOES made the event a valuable opportunity to strengthen these connections.
A celebration of music, engineering and shared experiences
What made ECHOES 2026 distinctive was the way it brought different aspects of the musical experience together.
From the sound of a grand piano and the expression of a live vocalist to the complexity of a high-end audio system, the event explored music from several perspectives. Musicians, audio professionals and enthusiasts shared the same space, united by an interest in how music is performed, captured and experienced.
For Siltech, the experience reinforced why we continue to invest in research, materials and engineering. Our work is ultimately not about cables in isolation, but about preserving the musical information that connects a recording to the listener.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Gizmod Audio for the collaboration, to Richcoln for their continued partnership and support, and to all the musicians whose performances brought the event to life.
Our appreciation also goes to the participating partners, organisers and everyone who joined us in Shanghai, contributed to the conversations and shared their passion for music.
ECHOES 2026 was a reminder of what brings us together: a shared pursuit of musical authenticity, meaningful listening experiences and a deeper connection with the music itself.
