Classic Legend MkII 280D

The Classic Legend MkII 280D Digital Cable introduces Siltech’s proprietary G9 silver-gold conductor technology at the entry level of the Classic Legend MkII digital cable range. As part of the newly introduced 280 Series, it makes Siltech’s signature silver-gold metallurgy available at a more approachable level.

The 280 Series replaces the former Explorer position and represents an important technological step at the entry level of Siltech. Where Explorer used monocrystal copper conductors, Classic Legend MkII 280 introduces G9 silver-gold technology throughout the range.

At the heart of the 280D are two conductors made from Siltech’s pure silver-gold alloy G9. Siltech’s proprietary metallurgy combines silver with gold to address microscopic imperfections within the conductor material, providing the foundation for the Classic Legend MkII family.

The conductors are arranged in a twisted-pair construction, a carefully considered geometry designed for digital audio signal transmission. Teflon insulation forms part of the cable architecture, providing a stable electrical environment around the conductors.

Siltech Resonance Damping introduces additional mechanical control within the construction, complementing the cable’s electrical design. Special Wide-range Shielding provides protection against unwanted external electrical interference.

Together, the G9 silver-gold conductors, twisted-pair geometry, Teflon insulation, resonance damping and Special Wide-range Shielding form the dedicated architecture of the 280D.

Developed for digital audio connections between compatible components, the Classic Legend MkII 280D brings Siltech’s research-driven approach to conductor metallurgy, cable construction and shielding to the entry level of the Classic Legend MkII digital range.
