At the iconic Atlantis The Palm in Dubai, an extraordinary private listening event brought together some of the most ambitious names in high-end audio. Hosted by Raw Music Store, the evening marked the regional debut of a truly monumental system valued at approximately AED 6 million.
At the heart of the experience stood the imposing YG Acoustics Titan loudspeakers, a statement in aluminium engineering and acoustic precision. These were driven by Chord Electronics’ flagship Ultima range in a configuration rarely seen outside the world’s most exclusive demonstrations. Four Ultima monoblocks, two Ultima 3 monos, and the Ultima Pre formed the core amplification chain, supported by the Quartet upscaler and DAVE DAC. In a second room, the YG Acoustics Carmel 3 was paired with the Ultima Integrated and Ultima Phonostage, creating a contrasting but equally compelling presentation.
Across both systems, the signal path remained uncompromised. Siltech Classic Legend and Royal Crown cables ensured absolute integrity from source to loudspeaker, allowing the full capability of the electronics and transducers to unfold without restriction.
The result was sound that combined effortlessness with authority. Dynamics emerged without strain. Low frequencies carried scale and control. Microdetail appeared against an exceptionally silent background. Most striking was the sense of immersion: a presentation that dissolved the boundaries between system and performance, leaving only music in the room.
Events of this calibre are rare. Not because of scale alone, but because of alignment, when engineering, ambition, and musical intent converge. In Dubai, that convergence was tangible.
Thank you to Hakim, Yassine, and the entire team at Raw Music Store for the hospitality, vision, and dedication in bringing this remarkable evening to life.
